Excursions in Transcarpathia
At any time of the year, the nature and sights of Transcarpathia are fascinating. We help guests organize excursions to the most popular locations: Synevyr, Shipot, Hemba, Palanok Castle, thermal springs, bear reserve, and Kolochava with its ethno-museum.
Adventures in the Carpathians
An ideal place for exciting travel. We will help you discover the most interesting corners of Transcarpathia by organizing comfortable and intense excursions. A vacation that inspires discovery.
LAKE SYNEVIR
The pearl of Transcarpathia is the high-mountainous Lake Synevyr, which is 30 km from the hotel. This is the largest and deepest alpine lake in Ukraine with an area of about 7 hectares, which was formed 10 thousand years ago at an altitude of 989 meters above sea level. Synevyr is rightly considered to be the most precious natural treasure of the Synevyr National Nature Park and is one of the hallmarks of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
WATERFALL HISS
The Shipot Waterfall is a real natural wonder hidden among the mighty mountains and forests, 30 km from Mizhhiria, near the village of Pylypets. It fascinates with its picturesque cascades of water falling down from a 14-meter height. You can admire the fountain at any time of the year, even in winter, when the steep cliffs are covered with snow. However, the waterfall is most beautiful in springtime, as the snow melts in spring and makes it even more violent and full of water. Since 1993, an annual festival of informals called Shipit has been held here.
GEMBA MOUNTAIN
Hemba is one of the highest mountains (1491 m) of the Polonyna Borzhava massif and one of the most beautiful places in Transcarpathia. In summer, colorful carpets of grasses stretch everywhere on its top, and the mountain itself is surrounded by a dense beech forest. And in winter, Hemba welcomes visitors with the longest Ukrainian ski slope, approximately 3.5 km, which is accessed by 8 lifts at once. One of the most famous waterfalls in Ukraine, Shipot, is located on the northern slopes of the mountain.
TENT LOCK
One of the most beautiful castles in Transcarpathia is Palanok in Mukachevo. It is almost completely preserved and is a landmark of the city. The oldest, the 14th century Upper Castle, was reconstructed in the 17th century and is located at the very top of the mountain. It offers picturesque views of Mukachevo and the surrounding area. The Middle Castle of the XVII century stands 6 meters below, on a terrace. 10 meters lower is the Lower Castle, which was completed in 1670. On the territory of Palanok Castle there is a well where, according to legend, if you throw a coin and make a wish, it will definitely come true. You can also make a wish come true if you hold the finger of the sculpture of Prince Koryatovych, one of the former owners of the castle.
THERMAL SPRINGS
In s. In Velyatyno (65 km from the complex), there are thermal baths with mineral water with a temperature of 36-38 degrees, which is extracted from a 100-meter deep well of the Velyatynske deposit. The waters of Velyatyn are unique in their composition and differ from the thermal waters of Berehove and Kosyno in their high content of iodine and iron. Bathing in them significantly improves the body and helps with various diseases.
REHABILITATION CENTER FOR BROWN BEARS
On the territory of the Synevyr National Nature Park, there is a Rehabilitation Center for Brown Bears, which covers an area of 12 hectares. Now it is home to more than 20 bears, for whom all the conditions are provided.
KOLOCHAVA VILLAGE
It is located next to the Synevyr Lake and attracts tourists with its ethno-museum called “Old Village”. This is the first rural museum of architecture and life in Zakarpattia, which recreates the material, spiritual, and cultural life in Verkhovyna, where many ethnic groups, peoples, and cultures have come together. Visitors can see the building of a forge from the 30s and 40s of the twentieth century with tools collected from all over Ukraine and the building of the Hungarian gendarmerie. Not far from the museum there is a trout farm where you can go fishing and taste the catch prepared by Transcarpathian chefs.

What our visitors say about us
We always welcome your feedback. Your impressions are the best motivation for us to continuously improve our service and comfort.

My mom and I stayed at the "Zhyva Voda" complex for a week. It’s a wonderful place, especially considering the price and quality. The rooms were clean, the food was delicious, and the spa was great — these are the basics. But the highlight of our stay was the people who work there. At the reception, Emilia and Anatoliy were amazing at helping us and creating a wow service experience. In the restaurant, Marichka was a very sweet girl who became almost like a friend. Without her, we wouldn’t have had any souvenirs... Full review

Writing with fresh emotions so I don’t forget. A very nice place that’s definitely worth returning to. The staff is very friendly and caring. The rooms are clean, new, and have everything you need. The infrastructure is excellent — a wonderful place! The restaurant is really spacious, and the hotel grounds are beautiful. Jacuzzi, pool, massage — highly recommend! Everything is available and more than enough. A perfect place for rest and relaxation. Waitress Yuliana gives great recommendations and creates a wonderful atmosphere! Thanks to the team for the quality!

We are staying at this hotel and are very satisfied! We traveled for a long time and were quite worried after reading reviews, but everything was fine — once we arrived, everything fell into place. The place is beautiful 😍 and the kids are thrilled with the large pool (for those who have been to pools, the temperature is just right). The family sauna temperature is perfect 👌. The hotel is nice, the food is tasty, prices are reasonable, and the location is great. There are plenty of sights to see if you have a car; if not, there are many excursion options! The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. We were given a room better than the one we had booked. The hotel is cozy, clean, and the staff is friendly and professional. The pool meets all standards. We highly recommend it.

A very beautiful and cozy place. A great location amidst incredible nature! The staff is very friendly. The property has a spa and a sports pool. To use the pool, you need to have your own swim cap or you can buy one at the reception for 100 UAH. There is also a restaurant on the premises with really tasty cuisine. As for the breakfasts, they are quite basic but you won’t leave hungry.
Special thanks for the attention given to the mood and the important occasion with which we arrived at the hotel. Our family celebration — my wife’s birthday — somehow became a shared joy of the hotel. And then, unexpectedly, during dinner in the restaurant, smiling staff presented us with a bottle of playful champagne. A nice touch that added to the overall atmosphere of comfort, attentiveness, and the unique Carpathian hospitality. It was truly a pleasant experience.
We stayed with our children. We liked everything; the staff was friendly. The breakfasts were tasty, the restaurant was nice, and the food was good. The parking lot is spacious and secure. Before lunch, we went on excursions, and from 2:00 PM the spa and sauna opened, so we went to the pool. The staff fulfilled all our requests, including changing bed linen, blankets, pillows, providing a kettle, and washing our clothes. There is a good supermarket nearby. The only downside was that the gym was not working.
Pleasant and friendly staff who respond instantly to even the smallest requests or questions. Delicious, balanced breakfast options served buffet-style. The hotel has a beautiful green area and a large parking lot. The room is equipped with everything you need. The jacuzzi offers a mountain view. The pool is large — you can swim all day. However, a swim cap is mandatory. I also want to mention that all the staff — parking attendants, lifeguard at the pool, cleaning staff, and waiters — are extremely kind and polite.
